This section illustrates our walk west on Bethesda Avenue to the residential section.

One of our goals was to view the transition from the commercial area to the residential area. We walked west on Bethesda Avenue from the parking garage entrance.

This plaza connects Bethesda Ave. and Elm St.

This plaza connecting Bethesda Ave. to Elm St. was only a short distance from the parking garage entrance. Lunch time was an hour away so little was going on in the plaza.

Convenience stores in the 4900 block.

In the next block these stores all feature private street parking.

 

Parking in front of a bicycle repair shop.

This bicycle repair shop has some parking. How else would you get a broken bicycle to the store to be repaired?

This is the end of Bethesda Ave. and the start of single family homes.

Bethesda Ave. ends here and becomes Exeter Road. Residents living here have an easy walk to downtown Bethesda and public transportation.
